The email claims there has been unsuccessful delivery attempt of a package or large letter from the HMRC.

On first impressions the email may seem genuine, but it is in fact a scam attempting to obtain your personal information and bank card details.

Some residents have reported that upon clicking the link in the email they are then asked to enter their personal information and bank card details to make a ‘redelivery payment’.

If you ever receive a suspicious email you should report it, by forwarding to the “Suspicious Email Reporting Service” (SERS) at [email protected] and then delete it from your device.
