Pictures give first look inside newly refurbished Bedford hotel

The newly refurbished Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel was unveiled to the public, on Thursday, December 5.

Guests, including Bedford Mayor, Dave Hodgson, were invited to celebrate with a Bedfordshire Afternoon Tea, followed by champagne cocktails and live entertainment. Having previously operated under the Park Inn brand, the hotel is one of six across the UK to have been signed by Danish based property group, Proark, and rebranded to Mercure. The new Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel, positioned along the River Great Ouse, will be managed by Accor. Dave Hodgson said: “The new Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel is a stunning addition to the Bedford area and offers its guests a modern and affordable, yet quality experience, in particular the riverside restaurant serving traditional British dishes with a contemporary and imaginative twist, using quality, locally sourced ingredients. I would definitely recommend this property to both business and leisure travellers looking to stay in the region.”
