Lottery windfall comes at just the right time for two Bedford neighbours

Two people in Clapham are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The Tranquada Close neighbours netted the windfall when MK41 6DL was announced as a daily prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery today (Friday, September 18).

And it couldn't come at a better time as many of us have lost our jobs, been furloughed and face being short of cash during the pandemic.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “What a brilliant way to start the weekend. Congratulations to our winners, I hope they enjoy spending their winnings.”

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by WWF which has received more than £15.2million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The organisation works to build a brighter future for the planet, protects endangered wildlife and educates people on how to look after nature in their own neighbourhoods.
