Barratt and David Wilson Homes have installed full size Tommy Club figures at its developments near Bedford.

Barratt Developments was invited to become the Tommy Club’s first corporate patron through its relationship with the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI).

The housebuilder donated £100,000 and has bought the figures - a universal symbol of gratitude and commemoration - from the RBLI to help it raise money.

The figures are displayed in the show home gardens in Willow Grove in Wixams and Marston Fields in Marston Moretaine.

John Dillon, managing director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “We are proud to support the Tommy Club by erecting the figures at our developments in Bedfordshire.

“Not only will the funding help to support the fantastic work they are doing, the figures will also encourage our staff and residents to take a moment of reflection for those who served for our freedom.”
