Gucci leather boots to go under the hammer at Bedford auction house

An early 20th century gold necklace estimated to be worth £1,000 and a pair of Gucci leather boots are just some of the items expected to go under the hammer at Peacocks in Bedford on Friday.

The items are part of the well-established auction house's December sale of antiques, collectors' items, jewellery, coins and watches. And you never know, you might just find an early Christmas present for that special someone.

Included in the sale on Friday, December 6, is an early 20th century 15ct yellow gold fringe necklace which has eight teardrop pale pink amethyst and small pearls in scrolled settings. This has an estimate of between £800-£1,000.

If you are thinking of proposing to that special someone over the festive season, there are some impressive sparklers to feast your eyes on.

There's a diamond platinum ring, with an estimate of between £20,000-£25,000 as well as an early 20th century diamond ring with an estimate of £4,000-£6,000.

If you are thinking of the man in your life, a gentleman's stainless steel Aquaracer wristwatch by Tag Heuer is also going under the hammer with a £400-£600 estimate.

But one of the more interesting lots has to be an amazing cased pair of Gucci Dahlia long boots in black leather, dating back to 2007. These boots could certainly be made for walking into your wardrobe with a £250-£350 estimate.

Viewing of the lots takes place between 9am and 6pm, on Thursday, December 5 or on the morning of the sale itself - Friday, December 6 from 9am.
