Crews attend fire at recycling lorry in Bedford as three tonnes of refuse go up in smoke

Incident happened this morning at Bromham

Crews from Beds Fire and Rescue attended a fire at a recycling bin lorry this morning (July 15) where three tonnes of refuse was alight.

One hose reel and a jet were used to put out the fire at Northampton Road.

Crews also used thermal imaging cameras and breathing apparatus during the incident before handing it over to Bedford Borough Council.
