"Crews extinguished the fire with hose reels and jet and a man was treated for smoke inhalation by East of England Ambulance Service.

"A fire investigation was carried out with a fire dog and no accelerant was found at the scene."

On the fundraising page it says: "It has been utterly devastating for a family friend... her son, his girlfriend and their 3 children were in the property at the time the fire broke out. They have managed to retrieve some clothes but everything else is beyond usable.

"I am asking for your help. Please even if it is £1 this will help towards rebuilding their lives again. I know it would mean so much. It will be one less thing to worry about and they will be able to start getting the things they are in need of."

The page has a target of £2,000 and has already raised £1,370, to make a donation click here.
