Celebrity Mastermind star Noreen Khan nominates Bedford charity Creating Memories
The BBC radio and TV presenter will be facing the black chair on Saturday (April 3)
Bedford-based charity Creating Memories is set to get 15 minutes of fame courtesy of award-winning BBC radio and TV presenter Noreen Khan, as she braves the infamous black chair on Saturday.
Noreen Khan, perhaps best known for presenting the weekday afternoon slot on the BBC Asian Network, has one of the most listened to Asian radio shows in the UK - and is also a compere and stand-up comic.
She chose to nominate Creating Memories as her charity of choice because of her strong ties to Bedford and the local children and families who will benefit.
She said: “Having been born and raised in Bedford, I really wanted to help a charity that was from my hometown. Creating Memories is a wonderful charity that helps to fulfil the wishes of children with life-limiting or terminal illness. Creating those moments of joy are so crucial during what can be such a difficult time - and is something that this charity does so well.”
Pritti Saggi, Founder of Creating Memories, said: “When I heard that Creating Memories had been nominated as the chosen charity I was astounded! I’m so grateful to Noreen for our nomination and I can’t wait to watch her in action and find out what happens when the show airs.”
Tune in to Mastermind on BBC1 on Saturday, April 3 at 5.45pm to see if Noreen Khan can be crowned Mastermind!
The complete show will be available on BBC iPlayer.
