She chose to nominate Creating Memories as her charity of choice because of her strong ties to Bedford and the local children and families who will benefit.

She said: “Having been born and raised in Bedford, I really wanted to help a charity that was from my hometown. Creating Memories is a wonderful charity that helps to fulfil the wishes of children with life-limiting or terminal illness. Creating those moments of joy are so crucial during what can be such a difficult time - and is something that this charity does so well.”

Pritti Saggi, Founder of Creating Memories, said: “When I heard that Creating Memories had been nominated as the chosen charity I was astounded! I’m so grateful to Noreen for our nomination and I can’t wait to watch her in action and find out what happens when the show airs.”

Tune in to Mastermind on BBC1 on Saturday, April 3 at 5.45pm to see if Noreen Khan can be crowned Mastermind!

The complete show will be available on BBC iPlayer.
