Champion pilot Mark Jefferies paid tribute to Captain Tom Moore today (Wednesday).

Mark, 61, drew a smiley face above the national treasure's home at 10.30am to mark the old soldier's award of a knighthoodTom, 100, was given the honour by Boris Johnson for raising £33million for NHS Covid-19 heroes by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.

Mark, a multiple British aerobatic champion, leads the international Global Stars display team which performs all over the world with Union Flags on their aircraft tails.

Mark used eco-friendly oil which vaporises in the air to create a smoke trail smiley face over Tom's home at Marston Moretaine.

After the flight Mark said: "At 100 years old, Tom deserved a victory roll."
