The 99-year-old veteran wanted to walk 100 lengths of his garden before he turns 100 at the end of the month.

Tom has touched the hearts of the nation and his efforts have been a shining light for many during the coronavirus pandemic, especially for the Bedford School pupil who has written Tom a poem.

His fight today is against COVID 19

He’s taken to becoming a walking machine

So round his garden, he completes a hundred laps

Determined to let nothing stop him in his tracks

He’s raised fourteen million to this day

And given it to a cause who need help right away

For the mighty NHS

Who really try their best

To save the people night and day

Well done Captain Thomas Moore

Happy Birthday!

Aryan said: "Through these hard times, the NHS is trying their hardest and the money that Captain Thomas Moore has raised will benefit the NHS and will be appreciated by so many people on the frontline.

"My poem is my way of showing my appreciation to Captain Thomas Moore.”
