Bedfordshire Lib Dem candidates launch 'ground-breaking' manifesto

Lib Dem parliamentary candidates for two Bedfordshire seats have pledged to stop Brexit and deliver a brighter future for the county at a packed meeting.

Henry Vann, parliamentary candidate for Bedford and Kempston, said: “We will Stop Brexit, tackle climate change and invest in our local NHS with a penny on income tax.

"On the most important question of the day, Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour party don’t know where they stand and the Conservatives and Brexit Party are stuck with a hard Brexit no-one voted for.”

“That is why we are welcoming so many new members and supporters from the old Labour and Conservative parties of Corbyn and Johnson. In Bedford and Kempston, the Conservatives lost all their seats in May and the Liberal Democrats are in with a real chance here.”

Daniel Norton, parliamentary candidate for North East Bedfordshire, said: “In North East Bedfordshire, the Liberal Democrats are best placed to beat the Conservatives. Our manifesto promises a brighter future for all in Bedfordshire and we are the best choice to stop Brexit.”

Boris Johnson promises to ‘get Brexit done’, but it’s clear he cannot be trusted. In reality his deal just gets Brexit started, with another no-deal cliff edge at the end of next year if he fails to deliver a trade deal in time.”
