But after the horrible wet weather of late, this image caught the eye of one of our Bedford Today readers - much to our amusement.

Jane Waite snapped the ironic image at Bromham on Christmas Eve, during the relentless wet weather in the run-up to Christmas Day.

But what should we expect for New Year's Eve?

It looks like there will be light cloud, with top temperatures of 9 degrees and a gentle breeze. Not bad, eh?
