This forced a sudden death for the title, and Darcy just took the top spot.

Darcy is the youngest person to win this national competition since 1948, when the competition was founded.

This victory follows his recent win in the Junior category at The Churchill Cup, another national event which took place on Friday, August 28, in Yorkshire.

He said: “To win this title is the biggest competition I could have won for my age group which is a massive achievement for me.

"I am really happy as I was never expecting to win it at such a young age.

"Being the youngest person to ever win this title is also another great achievement that I am over the moon with and I can’t wait to see what I can do in the future ahead of me.”
