A school in Bedford has come up with a new way to connect with children learning at home.

Priory Primary School, in Greyfriars, has placed a special new red post box to the school gate so pupils can deiver their homework and assignments to the school.

This means that work can easily be dropped off at any time without the need to enter the school site.

The box is the brainchild of Site Manager Wayne Berlin, who made it from 95 per cent recycled materials, even down to the nails.

Head teacher Juliet Fraser said: “We are delighted with our excellent ‘post box’ and so are parents and pupils.

"These are challenging times and we are happy to do anything that makes the lives of our families a little bit easier.

"The children are enjoying using it too.”
