The Knit & Natter tree was voted The People's Choice at the 19th festival at St Paul's in Bedford.

The Twelve Days of Christmas theme set decorators to work with some imaginative ideas. Although final figures are not yet in, organisers hope to raise slightly more than last year's £13,000, which will be shared out between Bedford Hospital & Friends and St Paul's Church.

Margaret Oakley, festival chairman, said: "What amazing feedback we have been receiving this year from friends and from social media. Our community event is definitely appreciated."

If you missed the tree at St Paul's you can still see it at Putnoe Library.
