Bake Off winner Nadiya to turn on Christmas lights
Fresh from her Great British Bake Off victory – where she captured the nation’s hearts with her smile, humour and wonderfully-warm personality – Nadiya has jumped at the chance to come back to her home town which she speaks so fondly of.

Hide AdNadiya said: “I love coming back to Luton so was honoured to be asked to switch on the town’s festive lights and be part of such a wonderful community event.
“Lutonians have been so supportive of me and it’s going to be great to see thousands of people come together and enjoy a very special occasion which celebrates Luton and its communities.”
The switch on event will take place in Luton Town Centre at 5.30pm; and will compliment a range of Christmas activity which has been organised throughout the day.

Hide AdLuton Airport are principal sponsors of the switch-on event to thank local people for supporting their airport, however Luton Borough Council is still looking for businesses to get involved and get their brand behind a the popular event.
Thousands of people will pack the streets and enjoy a day of activities before the evening ceremony where the Christmas lights will be switched on.
A range of sponsorship and promotional opportunities are available, including Christmas tree sponsorship and the lantern parade, and business are encouraged to get in touch.
