Colin Matthew visited the Kanchanaburi cemetery in October and found a headstone for Private George Edward Large, of the 5th Battalion Beds and Herts Regiment, British Army.

"Whilst walking around I came across the enclosed photographs and thought some of your readers may be interested.

"I spent 3 or 4 days in and around the river Kwai and visiting the museums and cemeteries.

"When I came across the photos of soldiers, and noticed one was from Ridgmont, I thought that there might some of his family still in the area that would be interested in the photos.
