Activity farm takes virtual walk from Bedford to Peru to raise vital funds

Like many zoo's across the country, Herrings Green Activity Farm in Wilstead, found last year a real challenge.

Although it is home to more than 200 birds of prey and animals from around the world, the activity farm is not eligible for zoo funding - and it's come up with a great way to raise funds.

To celebrate alpaca Tye's second birthday, the farm is letting him visit his homeland - virtually of course.

The team will be walking a whopping 13,737 miles from today (February 1) over the next couple of months - and hope you will donate funds via it's crowdfunding page.
