More than £2,000 has been raised for Thrombosis UK during a 10-hour relay around Jubilee Park in Bedford.
The event was in memory of Jay Henderson, who died from a blood clot in 2012 aged just 40, and to raise awareness of the dangers of thrombosis. Her sister-in-law Jodi organised the event and hired the Jubilation Centre for the day, with a bouncy castle, tombola, cake stall, raffle and a barbecue arranged by her husband Kev. A coffee morning held earlier and a guess the time for my Kev’s marathon in MK (which he did in 4:33) raised funds too. Jodi thanks all who supported the events.
