IN PICTURES: Bedford school celebrates World Book Day

Pupils and staff at Castle Newnham school in Bedford enjoyed celebrating World Book Day (Thursday, March 5) with some fantastic costumes.

Staff and pupils dressed up and took inspiration from a range of books, they also brought their favourite books into school to read. Principal Ruth Wilkes said: "We fully support the importance of World Book Day and this is a great opportunity for the whole school to appreciate the world of books and the characters that they create. We also enjoy the fun of dressing up."
