Hope and Faith Foundation gain the support of Bedford community for fundraising events

Founded by Bedfordshire trio in 2016, Hope and Faith Foundation was the idea of Jacob Hukin-Joseph, and sibling duo, Steffi and Royce Goodwin. They have been supporting their local community through fundraising for a number of causes.

St John Rigby and Goldington Academy have agreed to host charity non-uniform days to raise money for the foundation.

Urbanite Hair, in Mill Street, Bedford, will be selling sweet treats to customers on Friday, February 14.

Luciana’s Hair Boutique, in Castle Road, Bedford, will be welcoming customers to support Hope and Faith Foundation at their charity hair event on Saturday, February 22, where stylists have agreed to work for free to give customers 50% off services.

The money raised will go directly to the Hope and Faith Foundation.

Jacob said: "We are really pleased that Urbanite Hair and Luciana’s Boutique have been so generous in putting on these two events in support of our organisation.

"Having the support of so many fantastic local businesses, like Missi’s Cupcakes, has truly been wonderful.

"We wanted to be able to host events in the lead up to our annual ball on Saturday 23rd May at Bedford Blues Rugby Club.

"There are so many people who are affected by baby loss. It’s lovely to see the community coming together for this cause.”

To date the team have been able to raise over £40k for a number of charities including supporting people who have been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and Leukemia.

Maria of Urbanite Hair said: “I’m supporting Hope and Faith Foundation as I have had very close friends go through losing their child. It was absolutely devastating. I want to help if I can, no matter how small.”

With their focus being on fundraising events which are family orientated, the Hope and Faith Foundation team are keen to hear from other local organisations willing to partner to create fun events that help raise funds and awareness in support of people who experience baby loss.
