Office workers spent a day getting their hands dirty to prepare part of a country park for the planting of a wild flower meadow.
A total of 12 volunteers from Santander’s Milton Keynes offices put in some hard graft at Marston Vale Millenium Country Park.
They spent their time raking cut grass into tarpaulins and used it to enrich compost in other garden areas.
Santander’s Community Days Scheme encourages staff to take a day out of the office to volunteer with a local cause. Last year more than 2,700 staff took part in 256 projects across the country, including refurbishing schools, hospitals and helping with community projects.
