A cheque was presented by Lions Club President Tony Pyner to the Friends of the Child Development Centre, which helps children with disabilities and special needs live their lives to the full.

The money was raised as part of the club’s Santa Sleigh collections throughout December.

Friends secretary Amanda Young and 11-year-old Cody Marsh accepted the cheque at the centre, in Kempston, on Monday (February 22).
