A town centre nightclub faces permanent closure after one of the drinking venue’s directors was arrested.

Rabinder Garcha has been charged with affray and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place following his arrest outside the High Street nightclub Vogue in the early hours of Sunday morning (April 5).

The 44 year old, of Northampton Road, Bromham, has been bailed and will appear at Luton Magistrate’s Court on April 20.

The fate of the Vogue nightclub will be decided at a Bedford Borough Council licensing hearing on Friday, when the police plan to put forward a case for the venue’s licence to be permanently revoked.

In the meantime the venue has been temporarily closed by police.
