A Guinness World Record for the world’s biggest human ear has been set at Center Parcs Woburn.
The new record has been achieved by hearing aid specialists Amplifon when 323 employees donned coloured ponchos to create the giant ear and break the required target of 250 people, at the company’s annual conference.
Under the watchful eye of the Guinness World Records adjudicator, the record breakers stood still in formation with their heads down for five minutes before it was confirmed they had met the requirements for the record.
A representative of Guinness World Records presented the official certificate to Amplifon chief executive officer Steve Fleming at the end of the conference.
As well as setting the world record, the fantastic achievement from Amplifon and its employees was also awarded a Brunchie award from the Channel 4 TV show Sunday Brunch.
Steve Fleming, CEO at Amplifon, said: “We are really excited to have set the world record for the world’s largest image of a human ear. Full credit goes to our employees – the 323 willing volunteers who headed out in the cold to make it happen!
“At Amplifon, we’re always looking for ways to remind people how to take care of their hearing, and what better way to promote the importance of your ears than with the largest one in the world!”
The world record was set on January 30.
