New era for sports centre in Bedford

The new sports centre includes a soft play area, two new exercise studios, a fully refurbished gym and an extended fitness class timetable.

Work has been carried by Fusion Lifestyle, in partnership with Bedford Borough Council.

Now the centre can boast the largest indoor aerobics studio in Bedford and a dedicated indoor cycle studio.

The work was intended to be complete by the middle of 2016, but due to technical issues the refurbishment took longer than anticipated.

Special activities took palce over the open weekend including a bouncy castle, face painting, a treasure hunt, arts and crafts and a roller disco.

There was also be plenty of opportunity to try new sports and activities including soccer school and Sportzone.

Various Les Mills classes as well as gym based classes were showcased throughout the weekend.
