Adrian said: “I feel greatly privileged to have been appointed to lead CPS Thames and Chiltern. I joined the CPS as a legal trainee over 20 years ago because I wanted to make decisions that would deliver justice and I’ll be doing just that as I oversee prosecutions across the area.

“The work we do is tremendously important to safeguarding our communities by ensuring that the right defendant is prosecuted for the right offence at the right time. We are there to make sure that every victim or witness has the confidence and support to give their very best evidence to the court. And we continue to work closely with the police, the courts and our other criminal justice partners to improve the service we provide and to deliver justice for all.

“This is a challenging time for everyone, but we are committed to providing a high quality prosecution service to the public in line with our values by focusing on the quality of our decision making, our service to victims and witnesses, and ensuring that our staff have the right tools and skills for the job.”
