Nadine: ‘Jungle was hard, hard, hard’

Mid Beds MP Nadine Dorries has been voted out of the camp on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Nadine, 55, is the first campmate to leave the jungle reality show, and claimed that she is happy to leave the ‘hardcore’ experience.

She said: “When you have been starving for two weeks no one’s going to be disappointed to be the first out. I kind of expected it anyway.”

She added: “I don’t think the public actually understand how tough and how hardcore it is down there. The effect it has on your body when you haven’t eaten properly for two days, just two teaspoons of rice is hard, hard, hard.”

And in an interview with presenters Ant and Dec, Nadine said that she thinks her time in the jungle has changed her as a person.

She said: “I actually came here slightly self important for the first few days, I’ve completely found myself.”

She added: “I think all MPs are like that I come from a council estate and I would have never thought I was like that but I was.”

Nadine also defended her decision to go in to the jungle, but admitted that she was unsure how edited her political views had been on the televised shows.

She said: “I don’t know what people have seen but I’ve had some fascinating conversations in there and it’s been a fascinating experience.

“What I know is that 12million people watch this programme and out of these people probably a handful are MPs or people in the Lords. It’s important to think that and what MPs must realise is that we need to go where people go and understand why they go there.”

How do you think Nadine got on in the jungle, and what do you think of her decision to do it? Leave us a comment below.
