The WW2 veteran swiftly became the nation's hero during the coronavirus crisis and tens of thousands of people rushed to donate to his fundraising page.
Today the fund stands at an incredible £26,813,550.
Meanwhile Captain Tom has joined forces with singer Michael Ball and the NHS Voices of Care Choir to record a rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone. Within days the single has reached number one, with all proceeds donated to NHS Charities Together.
