Man injured by broken bottle at house party in Bedford


A man was wounded with a broken bottle at a Bedford flat party, and police are appealing for witnesses.

The incident took place at a gathering in a flat in Lovell Road at around 3.30am on Bank Holiday Monday, 6 April.

The victim suffered a wound to the head requiring stitches.

A 19-year-old man from Bedford was arrested and has been released on bail until May.

Detective Constable Claire Case said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was at the party or has any information that could assist the investigation.

“This was a violent attack and it is lucky the victim was not more seriously injured.”
