There were severe delays to train services on Friday after a man from Bedford was struck by a train.
The tragedy happened at Leagrave station at around 2.30pm on August 7, leading to several hours’ disturbance on journeys between St Pancras and Bedford.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “We were called to Leagrave railway station at 2.36pm on Friday, 7 August, following a report of a person struck by a train.
“Officers from BTP and Bedfordshire Police attended, alongside colleagues from East of England Ambulance Service.
“A 50-year-old man from Bedford was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
