Man dies following road traffic incident
A man has died following a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Charnwood Avenue, Bedford, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called at 2.10pm to reports of the collision. Emergency services attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and has been taken to police custody.
