Man, 59, flees from robbers on Elstow Road, Bedford


Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 59 year old man was the target of an attempted robbery in Bedford on Saturday night, September 20.

The incident happened sometime between 9.30pm and 10pm as the victim was making his way along Elstow Road, Bedford, towards London Road. The victim was approached by two offenders who demanded that he handed over his wallet and phone but the victim pushed one of the offenders to the ground and fled.

The first offender was a white man, in his mid 20s, around 6ft tall, of slim build and wearing a white T-shirt with a logo on the front. The victim is unable to describe the second offender.

Detective Constable Surinder Ram, who is investigating the attempted robbery, would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the incident taking place.
