Make sure you are registered

Central Bedfordshire electors will shortly be able to cast their vote in the election for the Bedfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner on Thursday May 5 and the Referendum for the UK's membership of the European Union on Thursday June 23.

Polling cards for the Police and Crime Commissioner election are being delivered to 203,000 people on the electoral register from April 1

At the same time as delivering polling cards, the distributors will also post cards where no one in the household is registered, to explain how they can register.

To be able to vote you need to be on the Register of Electors.

If you are not registered, register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or contact Central Bedfordshire Council’s electoral services team on 0300 300 8008 and they will send you a form that you need to complete and return to them.

People must be registered by midnight on Monday April 18 to vote in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections and by Tuesday June 7 to vote in the Referendum for the UK’s membership of the European Union.
