Bedfordshire's Lord Lieutenant met staff and patients at Bedford Hospital, and heard about its future plans.

Accompanied by chief executive Stephen Conroy, Helen Nellis visited a number of departments and viewed plans for the redevelopment of the Primrose Unit.
She said: “I was very impressed by the continuing developments in the services and was delighted to meet the dedicated, skilled and compassionate staff .”
