The Jumble Trail will be returning to the streets of Black Tom and residents are being invited to join the fun.
If you enjoy a good rummage round a car boot sale, but hate the idea of muddy fields and early starts then the Jumble Trail is literally right up your street.
The Black Tom trail will be held on Sunday, July 10, from from 11am until 3pm.
A Jumble Trail is like a car boot sale but on your street and communities co-ordinate to set up stalls in their front gardens to sell bric-a-brac, toys, vintage clothes, cakes or anything you like.
The event is co-ordinated online at jumbletrail.com providing visitors with a colour coded map to explore the treasure on sale in the neighbourhood.
The idea proved popular last year and many other local areas held their own trails.
Organiser and Black Tom resident Katrina Allen said: “Having originally spotted
the concept on Facebook I realised Black Tom would be the perfect neighbourhood to host it in Bedford. We had over 60 stalls sign up and the atmosphere was brilliant, everyone enjoyed themselves and found some bargains, or some fabulous homemade food.”
Neighbourhood stalls are selling plants, children’s clothes, music, books, handmade items as well as the usual eclectic jumble.
Grab a map at the unofficial start on the day from 11am by Robinson Pool on Foster Hill Road, or pick one up as you hit the stalls.
If you live in Black Tom, you can still register to be included on the online map right up to the event. Visit http://www.jumbletrail.com/event/BLACKTOMBEDS2016
