Jenny Wilson is inviting people to her final long training session in Bedford Park over Easter to support the cause and join her on the run.

She will be running the marathon on April 24 in aid of Guide Dogs, inspired by her friend Emma who has a genetic eye disorder and whose guide dog Isaac recently retired.

You can meet Jenny, and Emma and her new guide dog Gus, in Bedford Park on Saturday, March 26, where she has organised the event called Laps of Encouragement, supported by the Pavilion at the Park and Bedford Parkrun.

Jenny will start by running Bedford Parkrun at 9am and then run up to 20 laps from the Pavilion from approximately 9.40am, and runners are invited to join her for as many as you like.

A lap of the park is 1.1 miles (1.85km) and Jenny’s fastest laps will take about 13 minutes at 7km per hour. If running is not your thing you can go along and meet Emma and her new guide dog outside the Pavilion from 9am.
