Have you ever wondered how those unusual or ancient features remain on the area where you live? Your questions could be answered at the next Queen’s Park Lives talk which is being held at the Parish Room at All Saints’ Church in Westbourne Road, on Thursday, March 3, starting at 7.30pm.

The talk includes one of the oldest pillar boxes in town and an iron fence and gate that survived the nationwide appeal in the Second World War to help the war effort, pictured today. Street signs, lamp posts, painted adverts, murals and graffiti are among other aspects of Queen’s Park in this illustrated talk. Admission is £2 on the door. Refreshments and raffle.
