High school class of '˜84 take to two wheels for big reunion
The group of 14 from the class of 1984, who turn 50 this year, will take part in the Women V Cancer Ride the Night around London on May 28, the all-female night time event.
Among the group are Sarah McLeod, from Maulden, and Amanda Parrish, from Ampthill, who join friends from across the UK - and Canada - for the reunion with a difference.

Hide AdSara Dixon and Kim Robinson came up with the alternative idea. Sara said: “Last year, my sister Sally and I took part in Women V Cancer Ride the Night and we had such an amazing night! Neither of us were particularly fit but we still managed to complete the ride, such was the atmosphere of support and enthusiasm.
“Those of us taking part this year are all pretty much novice riders. Some of us didn’t even own a helmet or a bike but our own training programmes have begun and it’ll all be worth it. What better way to get together and celebrate a landmark year in a completely unforgettable way.”
The friends will cycle 100km through London past famous landmarks such as Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace, all in aid of Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.
Last year Sara and her sister Sally Roche raised £2,000 alone for Women V Cancer charities and this year, between the 14 of them, they are hoping to beat that figure.
