The future of library services across Bedford Borough face uncertainty as the council comes under increasing financial pressure.
A public consultation has identified four possible options for its five libraries including reducing opening hours, commissioning services from a third party, closing some libraries, or recruiting volunteers to run services.
More than 3,000 people responded to the initial consultation. People can now comment on the new proposals.
The council said the proposed options “are by no means exclusive” and it welcomes alternative suggestions.
