The Post Office has announced it is making some changes to its branch in Willington.

It has been earmarked for investment to help modernise it and improve the services on offer.

Changes have also been proposed for the branch in Arlesey.

North East Beds MP Alistair Burt said: “I have been contacted directly by the Post Office, and I am interested to read of the plans for the two Post Offices. Most current services will be retained, more added, but some will need to be accessed in a different way than through that post office. I know many will welcome longer opening hours and a more modern open plan layout, but I am anxious to hear what customers may think of the changes as a whole.

“I would encourage residents to take part in the Post Office’s questionnaire about these changes, but I would also like them to contact me, and hear from them directly about whether they have any suggestions they would like the Post Office to consider or problems they think the changes might cause. I will be asking local councillors and the Town and parish council’s affected for their views”

Details can be found online at www.postofficeviews.co.uk or by calling the helpline on 08457 22 33 44. You will need to quote the branch code, which is 12410699 for Willington and 15412999 for Arlesey.
