Following on from the release of their new album That’s What happens, popular duo Chas and Dave are off on the road again.

The singing stars, who have been writing and performing songs together since 1972, will be at Bedford Corn Exchange on Thursday, October 16, with their show On The Road, courtesy of The Pad Presents.

Support act will be the Ouse Valley Singles Club.

Chas and Dave have been friends since the early sixties and are now celebrating their 50th anniversary. The band recorded their first original album in 27 years which is a mixture of vintage rock & roll songs and new renditions of their own rockney classics.

The album also features special guest stars such as Jools Holland, Buddy Holly’s drummer Jerry Allison and Hugh Laurie.

With their band, Chas and Dave reached the top 20 in 1979 with Gertcha, which became a catchphrase, and followed with hits such as Rabbit, Ain’t No Pleasing You and Snooker Loopy.

They have also written title songs for hit TV shows Till Death Do Us Part and Only Fools and Horses.

Chas and Dave have gained a cult audience of both young and old and due to public demand they can be seen together on stage once more.

No strangers to Bedford, the duo played sellout shows in 2011 and 2013.

The auditorium will feature unreserved standing in the wings and reserved seating on flat, tiered and balcony seating. The show starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £25 from, or call 01234 269519. Visit
