The first ever Garden of Memories event takes place on Sunday from 3pm to 3.45pm and gives people an opportunity to remember loved ones.

The symbol for the Garden of Memories event is the sunflower, which reminds us of happiness and love. Participants can come along and plant a named sunflower icon in their memory.

Senior Fundraiser, Mark Spruce said: “Anyone can come along and remember friends or family members. The ceremony will be uplifting and include poems and songs.

“Anyone with a connection to St John’s can attend and those who have been bereaved and have not had family members cared for by the hospice.”

If you would like to attend the event please call 01767 642422 and register for a sunflower.

If you can’t attend but would still like to make a donation then please call and a sunflower with your loved ones name can also be placed in our Garden of Memories.
