Fire crews were called to a garage fire in Ridgmont, which threatened to nearby properties.
The blaze broke out in Church Street just past midnight, on Sunday, July 5.
Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 00.28 and alerted the on-call firefighters at Ampthill, Toddington and Woburn on-call fire stations.
When crews arrived, they found the garage of one two-storey house on fire and that this was affecting a second two-storey property adjacent to it.
Firefighters fought the fire with two breathing apparatus, a jet hose and two hose reels, using thermal imaging camera and two short extension ladders to assist them.
The fire was extinguished by 01.50 and firefighters remained at the scene for a while after this dampening down and turning over the remnants of the fire.
There were no casualties and the fire was accidental.
