A fundraising event has been held in Kempston to help charity.

For the second year, the Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis groups in Bedford have benefited through holding a fundraising dance starring the Fynnius Fogg band.

Bill Brady, chairman of the Parkinson’s Bedford & District Branch, said: “Nearly 100 people had a great evening on Saturday, October 17 at the Cutler Hammer club in Kempston, and raised £722 for the charities to add to the £880 raised last year. Fynnius Fogg will play for any charity that asks them and have been nominated for a Queen’s Award for their work in fundraising over the past 23 years.” The group were popular between 1971-1978 when sold many records, and later reformed to perform at fundraising events.
