Kempston firefighter Clive Wilkinson and wife Heather, who live in Shefford, have launched a fundraising effort to help those trying to piece their lives back together following the devastating earthquakes.

The car wash raised £615.

A Beds Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We’d like to thank all those that supported the car wash by bringing their cars along to be washed and everyone’s hard work at the station - Green Watch, off duty personnel and of course Clive and Heather Wilkinson.”
