Fire service battle roof blaze at Burger King in Bedford

Four fire pumps, a drone and police on the scene as fire breaks out at Burger King in Bedford.

Beds Fire Service made an announcement this afternoon.

The fire service and police are asking people to avoid the area.

"We are currently attending a roof fire at Burger King in Harpur Street Bedford," a spokesman for Beds Fire Service said.

"Three appliances in attendance two from Kempston and one from Bedford, AP from Bedford also in attendance. Police attending for crowd control. Please avoid area if possible.

"Burger King incident is now a make pumps for the drone also attending to assist fire fighters with information on any fire spread. 4 BA 2 HR jets, 2 covering jets and AP in use."
