An art exhibition showcasing work by mental health service users opens at Bromham Mill on Sunday.

Art Changes Minds has been organised by the Barford Avenue Centre for Mental Wellbeing to promote mental health awareness.

In addition to the exhibition, there will be a free family fun day at Bromham Mill from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, May 22, to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week.

The day will feature art and craft demonstrations and workshops, and Barford Avenue staff and service users will be on hand to answer any questions and provide information about mental health services in the area.

Centre manager Paul Feary said: “We are thrilled at the prospect of showing people just how talented our service users are. We want to raise awareness about mental illness, reduce the myths and stigma that surround this and also promote recovery through art.”

The exhibition will be open from 10am to 4pm at Bromham Mill in Bridge End, Bromham, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 1 to 28.
