Pre-schoolers are exploring a fun, new world at nursery after a special “sensory log-cabin” was built.
The Southway Nursery School, which particularly supports the development of two-year-olds and children with additional needs, is delighted with its new feature.
Senior Teacher Victoria Rempel, said: “We used the sensory log cabin ten minutes after it was finished and resourced.
“The staff are enjoying the space and are already noticing children making progress.”
Funding for the cabin at the Ampthill Road nursery came from Bedford Borough Council.
Bedford’s Portfolio Holder for Education Cllr Henry Vann said: “We are committed to continuing to invest in education for all children.
“Despite government cuts, we are still able to support this outstanding school and this therapy will be life-changing for these children.”
