Three young dancers from Bedford are preparing to represent their country at the Dance World Cup.
Hannah Mallilieu, 13, Molly Baxter, 12, and Anna Spencer, 12, have been selected to sing and dance for England at the international competition being held in Jersey.
Molly’s mum Carys said the girls have been working “extremely hard” raising the money to fund their trip. They have also been training training up to 20 hours per week in different genres including ballet , modern , tap , musical theatre.
She said: “They have been participating in cake sales and organising raffles to help provide funds to get them to Jersey.
“The girls are really hoping to bring back a medal for team England and make everyone, including their sponsors, dance school and parents, very proud.”
The trio will be taking part in the 11-to-14 year old section of the Song and Dance catagory on Saturday, June 25.
They all train at the Sandford School of Dance in Bedford, and are among about 200 competitors representing England.
The Dance World Cup is the biggest dance competition in the world with over 18 thousand competitors from 38 countries .
